In the course of Cannaphamacology students will have the opportunity to learn in depth how the different types of cannabinoids and terpenes, present in the cannabis plant, work. You will find how some of these compounds interact including the most common ones such as: THC, CBD, THCa, CBG, CBN, CBC, THCv, CBDa. Each of the aforementioned cannabinoids are helping the improvement of degenerative and chronic diseases that affect a large percentage of the population.
Students will find this course quite fruitful, as you will understand the methods of consumption such as: edibles, oil concentrates, sprays, injections, drops, capsules or pills, topical creams, patches, ointments or cannabis infusions, suppositories, among others, for each disease and individual who requires it.
The course will discuss proper storage and handling, have guidelines on cannabis standards, as well as, the manufacturing and safe handling of products. Lastly, it will discuss the environmental security and health requirements that dispensaries of cannabis must fulfill, by law, in Texas.
